I'll post this here first, but if there's a better place for this to be asked please move it there.

I'm trying to help a friend that was given a VCD of some pictures. The VCD is messed up and only seems to only work with Nero ShowTime and no other players or software. There's no way for him to get the pictures or another VCD as he was given this a few years ago and was never able to view it, he just found it in a move and was wondering if I could figure it out so...

Is there a converter that can convert them back to their original format?

Each picture was converted seperately into the ".DAT" format in the "SEGMENT" directory.

I guess this really isn't possible since there's nothing left of the original file after the conversion.

Although I did learn you can use a screen capture and output a very low quality version of the "pic".


At any rate, I didn't do that... I used MagicISO and a few other tricks to remake the dead VCD so now it's correct and works.
