| unable to authenticate in time I've made a back up copy of Empire Earth II usind CloneCD for the kids to keep at their Dads place. All the files seem to have copied to the disc but when you try to play it the following message displays: "unable to authenticate original disc within time limit". Any help greatly appreciated. |

| Re: unable to authenticate in time It is possible to make a 1 to 1 copy of some games, but because of the burner used or the drive reading the burned copy, the game doesn't recognize the copy protection of the original disc, and won't play the game. In other words the copy you made will most likely install just fine, but the protection is missing from the disc, and the game won't play. You might find more info in the copy protection forum after searching for that particular game. Hope this helps. |
