| Is there a HD rom drive on the market yet ? Hi I have a HTPC so I am on the look out for a HD rom drive so I can watch movies etc.. any ideas when a HD drive will be released ? and if you had to have a guess how much the first one would be what would you guess ? thanks |

Given the miserable failure of both formats and the high price of the initial equipment, plus the frustration with all the DRM, I would guess next year some time; as soon as they can make a reader for both formats. It will most likely fail as no one will want to watch these things on a computer so the only place will be in a Media PC. Probabably $500.
