Re: Subtitle Problem

It supports to my best knowledge only .srt subtitle formats, so please check it. Plus the video and .srt files have to have the same name. If so, subtitles should be automatically recognized.

Re: Subtitle Problem

Hi there,

judging by your name, Platon, you should be a Greek fellow, like myself. I suppose that the problem concerns one of the two following aspects: it is a DixToDVD Greek subtitles related problem or it is SONY DAV's related problem. I have the same problem also. PowerDVD plays the produced DVDs just fine but my DAV doesn't show the subtitles.

I will try to play the disks in some other brand's DVD player and I will let you know.

Re: Subtitle Problem

Hi there again,

It is sure a SONY DAV incompatibility. The same DVDs work just fine with both JVC and PHILIPS stand alone players. I have already contacted VSO and I will let you know of their answer. Please inform me if you find anything that could help.

Re: Subtitle Problem

Very basic suggestion, using your remote control, have you instructed your stand alone player to display subtitles?

Re: Subtitle Problem

Hi,

of course I did and although it presents the right code (1142 for Greek) there are no subtitles on screen.
