| SONY DVD RW DW-D22A wont recognise CD / DVD's  My SONY DVD RW DW-D22A seems to spin frantically when i put a disk in and it doesnt recognise any disks at all. It just spins for ages and ages with the green light flashing then stops.It as done this before but i virus checked my PC and rebooted it and it worked so i thought that it was the problem solved. Can anybody tell me any other reasons for this problem and is there anything i can try before i should replace the unit completely ???? |

| Re: SONY DVD RW DW-D22A wont recognise CD / DVD's possibilities 1. complete failure of laser diode 2. tracking motor failure just some thoughts: since i was in 8th grade every sony product i've ever had involved premature gross failure (Sony portable CD player, PS2, CD Changer, 2nd portable CD player) |
