can u delete script files? such as jscript, text documents just the crap that gets istalled with programs like read me files and stuff?

Text documents are not script files. You can delete these text files if you don't want them (but be cautious, you never know when you need to *read* these readme files ) but you won't get much additional free space, they're very small, so it's lost time.

Script files, on the other hand, can be larger, BUT there is no general rule, some may be vital for your applications and other totally useless.

So in both cases, better safe than sorry, don't touch these files, you'll only loose time and take risks. If you need more space, buy a new HD or get rid of other clutter (like a full trash can that never gets emptied...)
