Rar Zip 7-Zip ? - Club CDFreaks

OK My question is simple.
I have 50 albums of an artist, want to shrink them so can transfer easy.

Whats better for this type of media
Should I zip or Rar. Or is there anything else even better for music files ?
Should it matter for example rar.
If I Rar the individual Albums first then rar again into a big file will this shrink it even more. Or Just rar them all at one time into a big file.
What program and method, will give me the best yet safe compression ?

Music files? Just make mp3's.

Convert to .wma and then you can zip them to send.

Lossless: If by "50 albums of artists", you mean you have 50 physical CDs or 50 CDs worth of WAV files, then: use a recent release of WinZIP on WAV files (rip the CDs to WAV if necessary), as they have incorporated the WavPack algorithm for compressing 16-bit PCM audio data losslessly.

Lossy: If by "50 albums of artists", you mean you have 50 CDs worth of MP3s, WMAs or AACs, then the point is moot: the data is already as compressed as you can reasonably expect it to be. You could use any of the above tools, but you are unlikely to see any space savings.

i have a problem and i don't know what to do ,

i've download a movie on the internet but i can't play it :s it's a 7-Zip.rar file what can i do

Do you have an unzipping program, like 7-zip?
