Problems with PS1 Mod Chip

I am having huge problems with my ABSOLUTE STEALTH mod chip for PS1. I just installed the chip tonight 12/15/04 and now when I insert an original ps1 game it comes up to a screen "Please Insert Disc" I insert a burned CD and it says the same thing as well. I checked my solder points and they all match up and I looked with a magnify glass and they look fine with no splashes or bridges. I guess my last option is to resolder to make sure there are no cold spots. Do you guys have any other suggestions for me? Here is the diagram I was going off of, it is for the 900x http://www.psxtune.com/as900x.jpg

Thanks, Evan

Re: Problems with PS1 Mod Chip

Could be one of the wires you are soldering are faulty or a faulty chip..

Re: Problems with PS1 Mod Chip

Ok, I will maybe change the wires. But first I wanted to ask something about the diagram I posted above. On the yellow "6" and brown "3" solderpoints, do you have to hit the exact side of the resister, because that is where it is pointing to. Those points were so tiny and really tough to hit, but I got them, and it still didn't work.

Also, just to make sure my PS1 still worked, I desoldered the points and took out the modchip and the PS1 does still work perfectly with no mod. Could it really be a bad mod or a faulty wire? I ordered it from www.psxtune.com, who gaurantees every chip they send, or so they say.

Thanks for your help, Evan
