Problems converting .avi to DVD-Video

Hello everyone. I am new here. Just registered today. I have had a computer for several years but most of my time is spent behind the wheel of my Peterbilt Truck. I need some help and while looking I found this website and decided to jump in. I downloaded a movie a few days ago and it played fine on my computer but it will not play on my home DVD player. Is there anything I can do to get downloaded movies to play on players other than the computer? I would appreciate any help. thanks. John

Re: hello

Welcome to CD Freaks

If your DVD player won't accept .avi files then you'll need to convert it to DVD-Video with something like ConvertXtoDVD. Hope you have a fast PC because it will take maybe hours to do one movie.

Read the rules, make sure they are legal downloads.

I've heard old truckers never die, they just get a new Peterbuilt.

Re: hello

We're assuming they're legal, unless proven otherwise. Please leave this assessment to the staff.
