Power Calibration Area is Full?

Just started to get the following error message after making successful backup copies previously:

Writing to CD failed, medium error, power calibration are is full (3:0x73:0x02)

This error message comes up whilst attempting to right the leadin track. I'm using an internal HP 7100 recorder with Clone CD version 4.0.1.3

Anyone help please?

Ok.
Here goes. The power calibration error messages when you are using bad media, OR the drive is going to cdburner heaven.
Try using a different brand of blank cd and see if that helps any.

Thanks for your speedy response. The thing confusing me is that I have just used a box of the same brand CDs with no failures, could this new box be faulty?

Martin.

Then your writer is probably loosing it. First try some more media. If that doesn't help clean the lens (worked for me) and if that doesn't work? Sorry then, buy a new one.
