| Nero 7 DVD Burning Error hey guys! this is my first post/thread here so feel free to bash me (not really lol) ...i prolly cld've put this under nero discussion but since the problem exists regardless of which s/w i use...i figured it'd be best to put it here (besides i suppose the possibility of me making a n00by error here is prolly pretty high lol) actually i've been having a very weird problem for abt a month...i thot the problem might be the media (even tho i was using verbatim) but it turns out that's not the case...my new media does the same thing + i've tried both imgburn and verbatim but no dice...i just got 2 coasters b4 i finally gave in and decided to make an a/c here and hopefully find an answer (i've been lurking arnd for a while...but made my a/c just now) anyways on to the main issue...i've been trying to burn dvd-r's to make copies of my video games (owned by me so no legal issues here lol) but for some reason i get the same error everytime when i use nero...it gives me a invalid block address + a session fixation error...i'm posting the log so that shld include all the key info necessary... | Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error well tbh i get a burn in like 1 out of 10 coasters (randomly so no specific order) i haven't tried burning any of the others but i did burn a ps2 cd the other day (at 24x) and it went fine p.s. here's some more info if it helps the error occurs at the "writing lead in" stage the buffer fills fine but the device buffer remains on zero (this is for imgburn but nero basically faces the same thing) |

Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error btw i observed another thing if it helps i realized that whenever a dvd burns fine (as rarely as that happens)...it usually works fine if i try to burn another one right after the first one however if i try one say an hr later then there's no saying whether it'll work or not p.s. sorry for the double post...i thot they'll just merge into each other

Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error i've shut off daemon b4....it makes no difference really till now the mem issue sounds plausible but i still have to test it out after trying to create expansive mem space (i only have a gb ram) i'd love to see more suggestions tho ![]()

Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error .i'm getting iso's from a private tracker (ofcourse i own the ones i'm getting) The rules say that this can not be talked about here, sorry. You should look into removing the protection yourself it will be easier to pinpoint the problem. Have no way to tell if pirated stuff you have is right or wrong. I can not help you further.

Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error but wait i thot its fine to talk abt games that r "legally owned and used for backup purposes" right? and anyways, the topic has nothing to do with the iso...the iso's fine...the problem lies in the process/software/burner surely u can help with that, can't u? p.s. i even tried making an iso af a working backup copy and then tried to burn that but the problem's the same how's that for following the rules?

Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error It has everything to do with the ISO, you can back up what you own and we can talk about it. However what you download that is pirated we can not, your problem is burning a pirated ISO. You have no idea what they did to the original to make the ISO. So how can you expect the problem to be at your software/hardware end more than likely it is in fact the ISO that is the problem. Contact the guy who made it and ask him for help because of the rules I can not.

Re: Nero 7 DVD Burning Error i seriously don't understand i'm telling u that the problem is the same regardless of what iso i burn - even if its my own so ok let's totally ignore the "pirated" iso and talk abt my own iso that i backed up myself a few ages ago (tekken 4)...i just created another iso of that backup right now and tried to burn it...but the problem is the "exact" same...and that's why i'm saying that the problem lies in the s/w settings or the burner hope i made myself more clearer now!
