Re: mmm glitchy?

I take it you are also using AnyDVD? If so AnyDVD will remove all protection (else CloneDVD2 will not process it)

Sounds more likely to be a media problem? Are you using quality media?

I ask the same question... what discs are you using? (not talking about the original movie DVD, but the recordable one ) - brand, model, rated speed...?

Also what do you call "glitchy"? May you describe it?

There is no such thing, css is removed at the ripping stage (extraction), not the burning stage.

Abrown15 asked you if you use a *sofwtare* called AnyDVD, not if you used "any blank dvd disc" - because this software removes css in the background when you rip the original DVD.

I'm not familiar with CloneDVD2 but from what I understand it seems to need an app like AnyDVD to handle some copy protections. Read about this in the "Copy DVD movie" section of this site.

BUT, as the playing gets "glitchy" only after a while, I still suspect a media/burning issue. Does the playing skip or freeze also? This is the signature of a bad burn. On what burner and at which speed do you burn your Ridatas?

Correct - CloneDVD2 does not work on it's own with copy protected discs. You need another piece of software to remove the protection - this could be AnyDVD (my preference), DVD43, DVDDecrypter and others that I have forgotten!!

I would still say that it looks like bad burns - might be worth creating a test disc with CDSpeed and scanning it for errors - that will give you a definitve answer.

Re: mmm glitchy?

I agree with Francksoy and abrown15 - that it is a media problem. That is unless you're also doing all sorts of strange things on your computer WHILE burning. You can prove this to yourself using CloneDVD2 (a great pgm) by keeping the temp files and playing them from the hard drive. If they play without glitches then it's a "burner/media" problem. If the files on the harddrive show problems -- well let's hope they don't.
