| Mad Dog 6-in-1 Dominator Playback Problems I recently bought the Mad Dog Dominator 6-in-1 DVD drive; using Nero Express and Alcohol 120% I seemingly am able to burn discs successfully, but alas, they won't playback on any thing other than the Mad Dog burner. I've tried a number of different types of burnable DVDs (Memorex, Verbatim, TDK, Platinum) on a number of different players (Toshiba laptop, Mintek DVD player, Playstation 2) but nothing works. Doing some research, it looks like the drive is a repackaged VOM-12E originally made by Artec - there is a firmware update available here: http://www.artecusa.com/tech-support-firmware.html Anyone else have similar problems with their drive and any ideas on how to make discs that work on other devices? My specs: P4 2.4 512 RAM XP Mad Dog Dominator 6n1 drive Cheers . . .  |

Rig 3:800 Duron, Crap ass cirrus 2 meg video card, 55 gig via 1x 15 gig seagate, 1x 40 gig IBM deskstar. 512 meg ram pc133 (I'm so proud..lol  ) ____________________________ Hurray for boobies!!! |

| Re: Mad Dog 6-in-1 Dominator Playback Problems it's really a bit of a trick........for the most part, set tops have the reputation of liking -r. When I started burning, bought -r...thought good to go, they didn't work.... After tweaking.....lots of hours reading...tweaking more...still bad burns for the set top. (all would play fine on the pc btw) My luck...I have a samsung set top that likes +r.....lol It wasn't the burner....
