Lip Sync Problems with WinAVI

Hi all

I'm very new to DVD burning and have spent pretty much all of the last 3 days trying to get some episodes of a TV programme onto a DVD. I have 4 460-ish MB avi files, each is an episode of 1 hour long.

I converted these into DVD files in one batch using WinAVI but now when I play these DVD files using PowerDVD, the sound slowly goes out of sync with the video. AFter about 10 minutes it's really noticable. I tried burning them anyway but it was the same on the DVD, which then crashed towards the end of the first episode (I still haven't been able to view the other three and have binned the DVD aiming to start again).

Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Try using DVDSanta for that purpose. Simple to use and very reliable.

I was told WinAVI is good though. Surely I must be doing something wrong as just converting the avi's to DVD files seems to be screwing up the sound and video synchronisation?

It is not your fault, it is either the software or the medium. Try to use always good brands, like TY, Fuji, Verbatim.
