| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hi I'm Ox from Cumbria in north west England. I have worked in the wonderful world of Information Technology since December 1967, predominantly on IBM mainframes. Up until now I've avoided the inside of the PC like the plague, but the CD re-writer was obviously becoming goosed so I've had to take the plunge. Things aren't going smoothly, so the air will be blue around my place. regards

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! ^ Don't even go there......there was a lot of underhand backbiting going on about it. I was only enjoying myself but certain 'people' didn't like it. Beware, not everyone who 'sounds' friendly is actually genuine! Take time to get to know people, you will find out who your genuine friends are!

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hi, I'm 50+, electrical engineer, live near Detroit, MI. Came to this forum roundabout...Last summer bought Sony digital camcorder, then bought Sony Vegas video editing software, then found my old DVD drive would not support DVD-R. Went to purchase new DVD burner; looked at a Sony product and a Mad Dog product. I am upset with Sony at this point for hijacking computers with spyware hidden on their music disks and who knows what else. So I bought the Mad Dog drive. So far I am happy with it but I still need to verify it's DVD-RAM function works as advertised. Now I am reading forums and learning how much I didn't know about DVD formats, drives, disk copying, etc. Thats all for now, obw |

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Lol. DVD's aren't much worse. Just more different copy protections, storage capacities & disc types, compatibilities, firmware revisions & etc. It's sorta like playing one tune on a guitar, while singing a different tune. I've met lots of people that can do that, although not usually on purpose. Fundamentals are the same as burning CD's though ![]()
