Hi CD FREAKS Community..... I first came across this site by accident about 6 months and can honestly say this has got to be one of the best sites ever!!!! I really do enjoy reading the Forums, and have become quite addicted to them. This is my first post(hopefully it won't be my last) and i would like to say a big thank you to everyone who have taken time out to pass on their knowledge so that others can benefit.
I've even buried my Iomega Zipcd 650(8x4x32) and bought myself LITEON DVD drive/ CD WRITER after reading and evaluating comments made from others on this site.
Thanks once again to all.

P.s.... My Location is LONDON ENGLAND (UNITED KINGDOM)

Thank you Rag. I always wanted to send my first post but felt
intimidated after reading the Forums.

Ambush here. I usually inhabit Overclockers Australia, but after a link in a forum thread sent me here, I've been spending a fair bit of time here, as well. One of my hobbies is the nuts and bolts of PC hardware, and this site has exceptionally good information on CD-RW's and DVD-RW's.

It's great to see this site is so newbie-friendly, as well.

Hello .. been reading here for some time now ..

Hello,

I have been reading this forum for some weeks now. I have been messing with computers for some time and after reading here realize I know very little about copy protections and creating successful back-ups.

Up until now it had been quite easy to make the needed back-ups. (I have small children)
I just retired an old HP burner and purchased a Plextor 48/24/48. I was disappointed that the Plex was not capable of back-ups of the latest protections, I failed to read in the right places. After finding this forum I understand the benefits of the Plex. And I just ordered a BLACK ReWritable CD-RW - Liteon 40X12X48. Can’t wait to get it and try some of the methods all of you point out.

I’m a Father of four … computers is the hobby of choice along with boating.

I look forward to the education I am about to get here.

Great forum, thanks for all your hard work.

I've been visiting the forums and the cdfreaks.com site for almost a year now and I finally decided to join "the club." it's great to have such a resourceful site for all my movie and cd related questions. i know absolutely nothing compared to some of the people here, which is great.

Hi, i'm squalor. I stumbled in here a few nights ago and began lurking threads. This seems like the place to aquire the knowledge to satisfy my burning desires.
I could tell you about my computer or just show it to you. I'm about to upgrade my CD drives in this machine. My reader will be a Aopen DVD 1640 Pro A and my writer will be a Asus CRW 4012A. I think this will be an improvement from the Hitachi 16X CD-ROM and Samsung 6X4X32 I have now.
I use CloneCD 4.0 for game backups, Burnatonce for cue and EZCD 5.1 for music, file backup and coasters.

Hey guys, this is Shiori. Thanks for the great advice on restoring my Lite-On burner to what it was, I'll try overclocking it back later.

And if you ever need help on next-gen console emulation, feel free to drop by at www.ngemu.com and www.emuforums.com

Uhm, I suggest you rephrase that. It sounds to risque for some of hte moderators. If you post that, you will most likely get your thread closed because that sounds illegal since you have to own the software before you try to burn it, not the other way around
