| hi ! I am from Ohio. Sub 40 but counting down the days until...... Been crazy about tech since my first TRS-80 back in the early '80.CDFreaks is great but I rarely get to post because you all are so on top of it. Half the post would be unneeded if they would just search first and ask questions after but you answer them anyway....again and again....which is just really cool. Back on topic - have 3 great kids and a crazy wife (but not much longer) I work for social justice (which pays really well....not) and it can not get much worse here in the States for that kinda thing. Back to construction for awhile. |

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Great to see we have a lot new members. To all new members: WELCOME to CDFreaks. A special welcome for all the women, because we don't have much around here, but the amount is getting bigger and bigger. I hope everybody will learn alot and contribute alot. Please don't ask questions in this thread, because they (probably) won't be answered here. First use the search function, if that doens't give you the solution, post your question in the appropriate forum. Visit The Livingroom, here you'll find and can start threads about anything you like. There are also a lot of "fun" threads that you can join but also some serious ones. For the Dutch visitors we have our own forums: De Woonkamer and Algemeen, hardware en software . We also have a special forum for German and Italian visitors. Hope you all enjoy CDFreaks and that you'll spend a lot time overhere. Have fun.

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! ...Hello all. I'm the newbiest of all the newbies. If the less you know about computers and, in my case, burning/ripping CDs, makes you more of a newbie, then I guess I may be KING Newbie! (shoulda been my online handle !). I have some questions to post in the newbie section, but thought I'd drop a hello here first. Please be gentle with this lowly newbie . Peace all. |

Been hanging around computer forums for 10 years or so...back when they were BB's. I'm an auditor by profession, but am attending UoP/online for my BSIT. When I'm not sitting in front of a ocmputer I'm asleep, driving or on the throne of indignity. hehehehe I believ that's three in a row...I call! | |

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hi I am Veronica. I'm a 31 yr old mother of three. I graduated this past December with a BS in Psychology. I am proficient with computer hardware, but sometimes the software has me stumped. I have been looking for a site like this for quite a while as my children like computer gaming but have missed out on the fine points of cd maintenance/care. I generally like to backup all games as I purchase them. The kids are allowed to play the backups, so if one gets broke I'm only out a few cents rather than the steep price of a whole new game. However as they get older, it is becoming tougher to do as many won't let you make back up copies easily. |

| Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hello all, I hope this forum has what I'm looking for, because as it stands, I'm a total newb and stumped! I've done a few CD's in the past, and now I'm trying to transfer my TiVo recordings to my computer for editing and burning to DVD. (The TiVo Community board isn't much help.) I'm using Nero 6.6 Ultra (I think, since the Nero website does not make things easy to figure out what you have and how to upgrade) and an NEC ND-3520A DVD+/-R/RW DL burner. Looking forward to seeing what this community has to offer, and hope to become an expert someday! |
