The first because authorities have just as much access to the forum as members, and being dumb enough to admit that you have broken the law to the authorities, is .. well ... stupid.
The second because if you don't ask, you will blunder around aimlessly, probably destroying everything, and potentially never learning the answer.

Now you've inspired me to add a new line to my Sig.
Thanks, definitely NOT a stupid answer.

This place seems likely to be fun.

Yep, this place is more lively than putting a cat and dog in a paint can & sticking it in a paint shaker

Yeehaw!

Admitting that you've illegally downloaded movies/songs and need help to process/burn is comparable to robbing a bank, and walking into the bank the next day holding the bags of money to deposit them into your account.
Don't be surprised if people laugh at you when you make the headlines.

Hi! I'm Russ from Florida, USA. I signed up for help. I am, like Jim, pushing 60. Two more years. I was a firefighter for 26 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's a young mans job so I retired and moved to where it's warm year round. I spend an hour or two a day on the computer and built my own a couple of years ago. I'll be glad to help when and if I can.

Hi Albert, welcome to CDFreaks!

This thread is just for saying "hi" and not for trouble-shooting.

I suggest you create a new thread describing your problem, either here in the Newbie Forum or in our Samsung DVD Burner forum.

I'm not familiar with your drive model, but perhaps it's a so called "combo-drive" that will read both CD and DVD but only write to CD-R/RW media.

Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi !

I'm 25 and while I'm not really new to CD burning or computers in general I'm totally lost when it comes to formatting codes on the discs and what's the best format to use for what filetype and all that. This is why I came here. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the various CD/DVD Disc format types are, as well as why one format is better than the other.

I currently am running Nero 8 and I have an LG GSA-H55LI if that helps any. The discs I'm currently using are the Sony DVD+RW (DPW47L2) Sony DVD-R (DMR47L3) and the Sony DVD+R (DPR47L3) I want to learn how to maximize the use of all these discs. I find myself especially confused with the burn modes like ISO Levels, and all the technical stuff. Please help
