Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! "cwebjones" here as a Newbie. I have been working with computers for about 30 years now and enjoy getting on the web for just about everything from the lottery to sports and business. I also burn disk for record keeping, songs and photos. I have a problem with my burner and that is the reason for my joining "cdfreeks." Looking forward to being a productive member of the gang. cwebjones

Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Please help! I have An Averatec notebook/laptop computer 3300 series, and it has a device to burn cd's/dvd's. I am not up on the newest computer technology and basically all I am wanting to do is to take the family photos and short video clips I have on my computer and put them onto a disc. Where do I begin? I don't know if I will be even able to find my post on here once I click submit so if someone with a kind heart could email me at mommy2joy@yahoo.com with an idea or two I would sure appreciate it. Thanks so much! Margaret Florida, USA ![]()

Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hey ya'll, My name's Mick. I'm from Baltimore, MD USA. I finally decided to join a forum because I've been getting fed up with a few programs of mine which I've started a thread for but I don't see it up yet. I posted it up maybe 12 hours ago. Should I post it up again? Um...I'm nowhere close to being a computer geek. I'm into music...REAL Hip Hop and not that watered down bullsh!t you hear on the radio! Rock, Reggae, Big Band, Jazz, Soul, and other music that soothes the soul. I love movies. I'm a big critic. I thought the Transformers SUCKED! and I'm a big Transformers fanatic. It's sad that it was concentrated on the humans then it was the actual Autobots....when Jazz died, I don't think anyone in the theatre felt any remorse CUZ WE DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO ACTUALLY KNOW THE AUTOBOTS! We get introduced to them and that's about it....sigh...anyway...sorry about that... Well guys, the first thing you're going to hear from me is why in the world is my DVDShrink not burning my movies all of a sudden! but that's another thread.....I'll catch ya'll then. peAce mick O.G.

Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hi everybody. My life is completely unremarkable and therefor poor conversation. I know absolutely nothing about the strange little box humming beneath my desk.... well, that's not exactly true. I do know how to turn it on and use the keyboard. Nice meeting you all, I am off to seek help from a local wizard (of which seem to an adequate supply.)

Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hi all, just joined, 39 Melbourne Australia & ironically recently started working as a Systems Test Analyst as I have the computer skills of a dead fish. But hey, I can burn a Movie DVD (keep trying people, patience is a virtue & decent software is even more important). I have tried to use the search facility to find info on copying PC DVD games and it throws me off the site saying internet explorer cannot view that page (and yes I tried multiple variations) so the advice for newbies can be a bit frustrating. But I will persist (and keep expanding my coaster collection) unless someone wants to email me (cheekygent@hotmail.com) with some advice in simple terms for a simple man. In fact so simple I got stuck with Vista ![]()

Re: Introduce yourself: Say hi ! Hi, I'm Dusty from Oklahoma (that's in the USA, bout in the middle ). I've been around computers most of my adult life, but just started getting interested in CD/DVD burning. Been leeching around CDFreaks off and on for a while and one thing I've noticed is that members with female user names get responded to more quickly , but I expect that's normal amongst all us pervs .Seriously, I have lurked a lot of sites over the years and the quality of the members here is head & shoulders above 'bout 90% of them, so I decided to join back in 2004 and now almost 4 years l8tr it is still so. I'm sure we have the moderators to thank for that. Keep up the good work. Dusty...
