| incompatible format error I am a newbie to burning DVD’s. I was trying to make a back up copy of a video workshop that I own. I get the message “write sector failed at sector 672(16)code 02 30 05 cannot write medium incompatible format”. I can watch videos, play music burn CD’s on this drive but I can’t copy or burn other DVD’s on this drive. I am using one click DVD Copy. I can make back up copies of my documents without any problems but that is the only thing I can burn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| Re: incompatible format error You can use free tools like DVDDecrypter & ImgBurn to backup the DVD as an image to hdd and then burn it with your burner. But only if your drive is a DVD burner but no "combo". A combo is a DVD-ROM/CD-RW combination drive.
