Re: I Need Help With Vod Files What did you use to convert the avi files? There are some programs that can convert them to the correct format to burn to dvd. DVDFlick and FAVC are free options for this, and ConvertXtoDVD is a commercial product. Once you get a Video_TS folder with the vob, ifo and bup files, you can burn to disk with any program capable of burning dvd video. Nero is a commonly available choice, but I prefer a free program called ImgBurn. Look in the Imgburn forum for a guide explaining how to burn dvd video with that program.

Re: I Need Help With Vod Files My advice is to start over. Download FAVC or DVDFlick and convert the avi files over to dvd format. I recently tried out FAVC and it worked very well for a one step, free program. You'll need Net 2.0 and AviSynth installed, but there are links on the home page that will get those for you: http://favcfavc.googlepages.com/home If you insist on using the vob files you have now, you could convert to mpeg using Vob2Mpg, then use an authoring program to put them into dvd format. GUIforDVDAuthor is a free authoring program. The current vob files you have would need to be encoded correctly (proper resolution, frame rate, audio, etc) for this to work. Probably easier to start over with FAVC though.

Re: I Need Help With Vod Files Will be gone for a while, but will check back in to see if you have more questions. Someone else may pick up the slack while I'm gone though...so don't hesitate to ask. The pace of this forum is slower than im though, so don't expect instant answers. Edit: Yes they are similar in what they do. FAVC can use a very high quality encoder though, called HC. I would recommend using it rather than the other choice, Quenc.

Re: I Need Help With Vod Files The Audio_TS folder is supposed to be empty. Don't worry about it. Now that you have the Video_TS folder and the required vob, bup and ifo files, you can burn to a dvd. If you used FAVC, it made the video small enough to fit onto a dvdr without compression (you can set it for a double layer blank dvd if you have a really big avi file to convert, or several that you need to put onto one disk). Nero will burn this to a dvd if you select DVD-Video. ImgBurn can do this as well. Look at this guide: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4632 Edit: Thanks Arachne. You know I always get the feeling the other regulars are just giggling at me when I get into one of these long help threads Tell me it aint so. ![]()

Re: I Need Help With Vod Files It may not be showing the full extension on the files. Put your cursor on the Video_TS folder and see what shows up on the box. It should show the size of the folder and start a list of included files. Video_TS.BUP, Video_TS.IFO, etc.
