| HP Dvd Writer 940i Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently installed a HP Dvd Writer 940i on my Compaq Presario. It worked fine until recently. I'm able to view dvds but I'm not able to burn to the drive. In Explorer, the drive is listed as a CD drive, not as a DVD drive. I hoped to re-install the drivers, but lost my installation disk when I was packing to move. Can anyone help me troubleshoot or let me know where I can find the drivers or an installation disk. I had no luck on the HP website. |

| Re: HP Dvd Writer 940i Drivers came with the OS. Install a proper burning app like Nero or Imgburn, otherwise you cannot burn to DVD.
