| How do I join together all the separate files... of a movie download? It's a torrent d/l but it is divided into 30 or so RAR files. I imagine it's really simple but I haven't tried anything yet and frankly don't have a clue what the first step is. Thought I'd ask here and save myself some trouble with experimenting and mucking about. I intend to burn it to a DVD. Thanks. |

| Re: How do I join together all the separate files... here is what I do - I have WINRAR 3.61 installed with right-menu (context menu) support enabled. In Explorer (or a file manager) I right click on the first item in the archive list and choose EXTRACT HERE and it is smart enough to include all 30 archive segments in that same folder in the decompression process. Works great. Alternatively, you could open WinRAR proper and use that interface to point to it. The key seems to be that all the archives are in the same folder, not in different sub-folders. Hope that helps. |
