Help! How to connect my laptop to a home cinema system?

Hi.

I have MP3 files on my laptop, and want to play them through my home cinema system (integrated amplifier/tuner/DVD player etc).

What kind of cable do i need to connect the laptop to the amplifier?

Presumably, the quality of the cable is important - what is a rough price guide to stick to?

Thanks for any help someone can provide!!

Welcome to the forum...

Usually a laptop will have a headphone socket, so you could use a simple 3.5mm jack (laptop end) to two-phono lead (amplifier end).

Seeing as you're playing back .mp3s through the laptop sound device, I would have thought cheap to middle-range quality cable should suffice (around 7-10 £/$/EUR).
