| Help. Burning coasters! I am very good with computers, but now I am stuck. I formated my winxp pro machine this weekend. I reinstalled nero (newest), aspi drivers from adaptec, and put 1.04 firmware on for my Plextor px-716a. Now everytime I burn a dvd, I get coasters. I goes through the whole burn, says done, but looks like it only burned the inner part of the dvd. I've burned 4 coasters tonight, no clue why. As they always say, "It use to work before!" Am I missing something? |

| Re: Help. Burning coasters! Are you using the same exact disks (same media code) that you were using before? If not, what is the media code? If it's good media and it was burning good before, I would be suspecious about the new firmware that you flashed to. reinstalling windows shouldn't have made your drive start burning bad but changing firmware might make it start bruning a particular disk bad. |
