The problem is i need to convert it digitally. I converted it from an mpg file to a dvd file but when i brought it into premiere it was a VOB file? And it wouldn't work??! So i converted it to an Mpeg-2 file and that also didn't work........i'm going to pull my hair out soon!! LOL plz help!! Tell me what i need to do! |

| Re: Help with analog camera! Your explanation here is very confusing. Are you somehow getting an MPG file from your analogue camera?

| Re: Help with analog camera! I'm sorry that it's confusing............i am the capturing the video clip in a program called Power Director Pro....after i capture it , it asks me to save the file as an mpg.......so i did that...then i was told that it would be better quality if i converted it to digital when using it in my project. So i converted the mpg file to a dvd file. But when i went to bring it into Adobe premiere it showed that it was VOB file (which i don't know what that is). And adobe doesn't recognize VOB....so now i don't know where to go from here... I hope thats a better explaination?? |

| Re: Help with analog camera! That act of bringing the analogue clip into the computer is what converts it to a digital format. Converting from MPG -> VOB only changes it from one digital format to another. Just bring the MPG into premiere directly. Converting to VOB (which is an authored DVD file) does not enhance the quality in any way. If you want to get better quality out of your imported video, then better capture hardware is necessary. (I use the Canopus ADVC-100 myself.)
