Does anyone know how to do this properly ive been tryin all day long...I converted the mp3 file into wav format and associated it with the cue file... now the cue file plays completely "gapless" when i play it on my computer and i am also able to skip tracks no problem....trouble is when i burn the cue file to disc, there is a tiny gap in between songs, like a split second "jump" i'm just curious how to get it completely seamless is it possible or has the cd got gaps burned in2 them?

Is it one big mp3 or loads of separate files ?? what are you burning with ?? nero, etc....

i think its just silence in the end and/or start of each track , you can use a sound editor such as audacity http://audacity.sf.net to remove it or convert it with dbpoweramp/ easy cd-da extractor they have an option/plugin for removing silence from end/start

but the thing is the cue file i am burning plays COMPLETELY gapless when played on the computer in winamp even look at the cue file , theres no gaps, so where are these gaps coming from?

I am using DAO "Disc At Once" which is supposed to not give me any gaps but it is so how can this be the problem?

Use BURRRN for AudioCD, Nero sucks.

I give up, , wasted about 10 cds trying to do this, the converted cue+wav file plays perfectly SEAMLESSLY on the computer and yet when i burn it to disc using DAO there seems to be very slight jumps/gaps at the end of each track,they arent big mabye about half a second but very noticeable, its just that i want the cd to play like it does from the cue file (live recording) on the comp but it just seems to be impossible...ive used foobar, nero, burrn,EAC and they are all giving me the exact same results...

I have also tried with splitting the cue+mp3 file and burning to disc using the "no pause between tracks" optionand this is the exact same...

I really can't see what the problem is, i mean if it plays right through on the computer without one jump then surely it should be the same when on disc...i googled and read a bit about silences but did'nt read to much in2 it

That is one reason why I always keep a few CDRWs around.

Nero has no associations for cuesheets by the way, so it would be impossible to use Nero. Both Burrrn and EAC can burn a single file with the cuesheet loaded.

I can't see anything wrong with the cuesheet that would cause the glitches between tracks, nor can I see any faults in the burn methods. Since you say that playback is gapless this is truly puzzling.

I can only suggest that you discard the file along with the cuesheet and rip it once again. My personal preference for ripping is EAC which can also create a cuesheet.

In the event that the MP3 file was acquired elsewhere, try burning the file without converting it to WAV. The burnware already automatically converts the MP3 to WAv proir to burning. Just simply load the cuesheet and give it a try.

I find Easy CD-DA Extractor does a nice job of doing this when you rip from a CD.
