I've read everything I could find on this site about copying DVDs, but alas, I couldn't find out where to ask about problems with copying Game dvds rather than movie dvds. Is Safedisc v3 impossible to correctly bypass? I'd like to make a copy of The Sims 2 on DVD (special edition, US) but no matter how much I try, it always asks for the original disc to be inserted.

The strange thing is, I mounted the disc image (the one that didn't work when burned to dvd) using daemon tools, and it plays just fine. Any ideas?

It is not possible to make a working physical copy of a safedisc protected dvd with generally available hardware as no dvd burner can write dvds in raw mode.

The only way round some of these is to use no cd cracks and unfortunately we are not allowed to tell you where to go to get them due to forum rules.

There are also protection emulation software packages out there, which emulate SafeDisc or SecuROM or such. Packages like Anti-Blaxx, etc.

There is some discussion of these in the various forums on here, but again it is limited due to straying into iffy territory.
