DVD won't play on PC or Home DVD players??

Hey,
Tonight I burned my first DVD, that I intended to play on both my PC and home DVD players. However the outcome has meant that I can do neither.

I used the program avi2dvd to convert the avi file. I followed several guides that I found on the internet and used NTI CD & DVD maker to burn the disc.

After converting, an ISO file was created which I then burnt to the disc as data DVD. (This sounded strange to me but again I read it in an online tutorial.)

I am currently downloading DVD decrypter and will try and burn the ISO file using that program. In the mean time, can anyone see where I went wrong?

If you've got an ISO file you DO NOT burn it as a data DVD. An ISO file is an image of a DVD & must be burned as such.

The best way to burn these is to get DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn, install it & then burn it with that. ImgBurn is a non-ripping version of DVD Decrypter that is being currently maintained & developed.

ISO burnt on a disc as DATA dvd, cannot work that way.

Burn the ISO directly, eg using ImgBurn.
