| Re: dvd fab platinum I use this program all the time for making backups of my movies...works like a charm and worth every cent. Have no idea how to work with the trial version...but generally you only have to install it. There are limitations to its use during the trial period of course, but I don't know what they are.

| Re: dvd fab platinum Welcome to newbie land- I also tried the trial version and with alot of patience and trying ( & questions on this and the DVDFab forum) got the program to work with my system. Fact is it worked so well - I bought the program- really like it. Hang in there and as everyone mentions use good media- my only add on would be to keep trying the program out until you get the process down using moderate quality media. When you're ready to really get a good copy- bring out the verbatim & go. PS also check out the DVDFab forum area- lots of really excellent help there ![]() |

| Re: dvd fab platinum There are some good, free apps out there too, including DVD Fab Decrypter, if you just want to rip protected disks. Programs like DVD Shrink can help when you want to create a revised DVD without some of the extras or menus, or what not. If you want to edit video, there are some good free apps too, including Windows Movie Maker 2.x. What is it that you want to actually do with the disks? Just copy? or other stuff too? Good luck with the whole learning process. It can be pretty fun when you get the hang of it. |
