DVD burning help

Hi all,

I'm having abit of trouble at the moment copying dvd's.

i have in my tool box,

DVD Decrypter
DVD Shrink
Nero 8
Magic ISO
IMG Burn

i used to be able to just pop a dvd into dvd shrink, & off it went, then that started giving me problems, when i try it now, "it says there isn't enogh" when there is plenty of space.

so i then started using dvd decrypter first then onto dvd shrink, worked a dream until now, when i use dvd decrypter it has problems with .Bup files and then when i try and use dvd shrink it doesnt recognise these files.

so i got Magic ISO, have created iso of dvd, but when i try to burn to a dvd it says the iso is to large.

when i download iso of image dvd it copys fine with img burn, but when i try creating and burning myself its too large.

am i missing a trick here?
any help on the above would i would be very grateful.

Thanks

Re: DVD burning help

An ISO made from a dual layer DVD is likely to be larger than a single-layer blank disc, so the ISO you make with Magic ISO needs further processing by DVD Shrink to do this. You can open ISO files with Shrink.

Re: DVD burning help

thats what i used to do, i would use daemon tools as a virtual drive and do a straight copy. but for some reason my dvd shrink isnt working properly, it keeps saying not enough space on hard disk, but have about 40gb free.

also i dont think the original is a dual layer dvd as its a copy of fear & loathing & city of god which are quite old films now. i maybe completely wrong though.

if anyone knows of any other programs i could use, or if you have fixed a similar problem with dvd shrink, please could you let me know.

Thanks

Re: DVD burning help

As imkidd57 suggested, did you try to open ISO in shrink?
It's been a while but, doesn't shrink have a temp folder that maybe needs emptying? I could be wrong!....
Or use DVDFab or DVDRB.....
