Newbie Forum Discuss, Converting a WAV file to an MP3 and then back to a WAV at International Chat: General Topics forum; When you rip a CD audio track to a WAV file, and then convert the WAV file to an MP3, and then convert that MP3 back into a WAV file, will the WAV that results be of lesser quality than the original WAV that was made from ripping the CD

Converting a WAV file to an MP3 and then back to a WAV

When you rip a CD audio track to a WAV file, and then convert the WAV file to an MP3, and then convert that MP3 back into a WAV file, will the WAV that results be of lesser quality than the original WAV that was made from ripping the CD track?

Every conversion results in a loss of quality (some conversions more than others)
