Converted MPEG freezes, but source AVI is ok??

Hello people,

Venturing into this DVD-Burning World, and encountering a few problems.

I have a LG4081B installed that was collecting dust in the office. Updated the firmware to 1.04, had Nero 6 already, and tried and converted an AVI-file to MPEG, using Digital Media Converter 2.3

Now, the original AVI plays fine in WINDVD6, and just as well in WMP9.

However, after converting to MPEG with usage of Digital Media Converter 2.3, this MPEG will freeze up when playing in WINDVD6 after about ....20 seconds, and the same goes when trying to play it in WMP9.

After reading a lot of stuff (and getting more confused, lol), Iinstalled Nimo's Codec pack, thought that had something to do with it, but alas....

I have encountered problems after this, but I want to get this first thing out of the way before I start worrying about other stuff.

What could be the reason of this problem? Any ideas?

Re: Converted MPEG freezes, but source AVI is ok??

There is probably a error in the avi which doesnt show during playback. It usually only takes 1 bad frame and the rest after that is messed up. Cut the bad frame out of the avi then re-encode. Or, you could make 2 seperate avis where it starts from where the bad frame is, but one frame forward

Good luck, i got a feeling you're going to need it.
