| Choppy DVD's Hi there, I have recently been introduced to the world of DVD+R burning and with the help of some friends and software was up and away without a hitch... that was until I upgraded my machine over the last week and ever since, i have been getting Movie DVD's that I burn either stopping, being choppy etc. at intermittant times in the playback. Previously my hardware was P4 1.7G with 512mb ram, 2 x 40G hard drives, windows XP pro and a Lite-On LDW-401S DVD burner. The only upgrade is the following: AMD Athlon 2800+ with 768mb ram, all other internals stayed the same. The OS was also a clean install for safety sake. I am using CloneDVD Ver. 1.01 and DVD decrypter which all worked fine about a week ago. If anyone could maybe point me right direction it would be most appreciated. Cheers ![]() |

| By playback, you mean on a set top DVD player I am assuming? Those types of issues are usually caused by marginal media. Have you tried a different (better) brand of media yet? Since you have a LiteOn DVD burner you have the luxury of being able to scan your burnt disc for errors. Check the LiteOn tools guide in my signature. Kprobe section for more info. Post back some media scans and we'll be able to tell you if it's a media issue or not.
