The CDDB database

Hello,
Sorry if this is a silly question.
I've just bought a hard drive Hi-Fi which rips CD's onto the hard drive so that the original discs need no longer be used.
The hi-fi uses the CDDB system to identify CD's (album / artist / track info) when they are loaded from the disc to the hard drive. This works fine for original retail CD's, but not for my burnt back up copies of CD's.
The hi-fi reads the back-up discs as the wrong title.

I understand that the CDDB works by calculating a unique code from the running length of the original CD. Clearly my copied back up CD's are slightly out so the CDDB on the hard drive system doesn't recognise the burnt discs correctly.

Does anyone know of any way to fix this?

Many thanks fo any help.
