Re: CD standard

Do you mean in different sessions or just different tracks in the same session?

Actually, it is possible either way. You can burn up to 99 sessions in theory (but the disc won't hold that many) and each session can be either audio, ROM or mixed. Within a session, you can burn as many tracks as you like (disc limit is 99 though). Each track can be whatever you want (audio or ROM).

Finding software to do this might be tricky and most software will not see all the sessions once it is written.

Re: CD standard

But remember, to be readable in an audio player the audio data must be in the first session as most can only see one session.

There are two legal forms of audio & data disc.

CD Extra puts the audio first and then the data on a 2nd session at the end - Used for hybrid CD's the same as you get in music stores for those enhanced audio discs.

Mixed-Mode CD puts the data into track 1 and the audio starts at track 2 - Used on game and data CD's. Not used on audio discs as a player could try and play the data leading to a very loud and distorted hiss from track 1.
