Re: CD audio header data What part are you calling 'header of CD and of each song'? All that is on an audio CD is audio main channel with subcode that indicates where a new track starts. There are no names, artists, etc... There could be a UPC for the disc and ISRC for each track but this is pretty useless. If you read the TOC you will get a list of how many tracks and how long each one is. But that's it.

Re: CD audio header data I have not seen that type of output from reading a CD before (in raw mode that is). What program did you use to make the information you put here? If it is a program you wrote, please tell me the MMC read command that you are using.

Re: CD audio header data Check out the top two posts here. The ones labled 'Read First'. You can find a lot of very good information there. Truman has provided a small program that shows how to read CD and even gives the source code. I still have no idea how you got the data you attached above. When I right click my CD drive and choose copy, I get all the songs ripped as MP3 files. I'm using XP.

Re: CD audio header data I was using XP and my CD was a normal auido CD (not mp3). XP converted it for me. I don't have 98 anymore. You can not get the Red Book for free that I know of. But, you can get a lot of good free stuff here. Look for ECMA-130 first.

Re: CD audio header data For leadin you just issue a Read TOC command and then decode the contents into track start times. Some drives also support CD-Text reading in the leadin. For leadout...well, not all drives will allow you to read the leadout. Plextor SCSI drives seem to work pretty well but still have their limits. Is this what you were asking? If not, please give more detail.
