| Can't RIP MP3/WMA Files Wont Play Hey! I just purchased a new Audio CD ad made backup copies with Blindwrite. The CD lets me make protected wma files. I've made the files, but they still won't play using WMP V.10. I get the following message when attempingt get the license: "A license is required ..... (you've seen it before)." It then redirects you to te site listed below, but no license is granted. http://www.xcp-aurora.com/licgen.asp It then tells me the songs are copywrite protected and can be accessed with an authorized media player. I assumed the wma files would play on the WMP - guess not. I don't want to install another player and would like to extract to a wav format to I can convert and use on an iPod and my computer. I've not been able to RIP to mp3 (or wav format). Any help? thanks - jtf |

| Re: Can't RIP MP3/WMA Files Wont Play stay far away from media player 10 and ALL of microsoft's DRM. They do not have your interest in mind only thier$$$$ and thier partners $$$$ the RIAA the MIAA ,and thier partner intel. Didn't you notice when you open media player 10 it contacts a microsoft server and about 10 online music stores (providing your online)opening you for a hack. Media player 8 and 9 both phone home to microsoft also telling them what your palying and or viewing. hint:buy nero 6.6 ultra rip and burn all you want with much less hassle. |

| Re: Can't RIP MP3/WMA Files Wont Play I've had no problem copying the CD, I've had a problem RIP'ing the songs to store digitally. The disk will let you make digital copies of songs in the WMA and other proprietary formats, but not mp3. |

| Re: Can't RIP MP3/WMA Files Wont Play How about extracting the WAVs from the first session using ISOBuster then compress them into MP3 using EAC? \\\\\VH//// ![]()
