| Can't open/view DVD created from a TV/DVD recorder A friend recorded some TV episodes for me on a DVD-R, but I cant get any of my DVD players (retail or PC) to play anything. The retail DVD players all hang. The PCs say the drive "...is not accessible. Incorrect function." The only place that actually acknowledges disk content is Nero Burning Rom (6.1.3.19 SE) Disk Info, which shows the following: DVD Session Session 01 (4.167MB) Track 01: 0 4,266,512KB, Data (mode1) I have tried several bits of software that are supposed to help you read / repair files etc, but because the drive isn't accessible, they cant find the content to review. Any clues as to how I can get to this content? cheers Steph |

| Re: Can't open/view DVD created from a TV/DVD recorder Common problem! If it was not recorded in the correct format a stand alone will not see it but a computer may! It must be recorded with the correct software to make it a MPEG2 fully compliant disk! I think you are hosed on this disk if the computer with the correct software will not read it! Also try Nero/Media player/Shrink/ to see if it will open the file at all!
