| Can you burn a CDR on a DVD-RW Drive? I searched the forums and couldn't find.... I have this really dumb question, but I'm about to buy a DVD RW and I want to know...you CAN burn a CDR on a DVD-RW drive right? I have a CDRW/DVD ROM drive which I'm changing to a DVD-RW drive and I also have a PILE of CDRs. I just wanted to know that I CAN burn to these disks. Intuitively I'm already saying yes. Just wanted to make sure. Thank you. |

| Re: Can you burn a CDR on a DVD-RW Drive? Hi  Welcome onboard steveturner.   Yes you will be able to burn CDRs on a DVDRW. However some are better than others. So it might pay to list the model(s) that you are interested in. To get what's best for you. |

| Re: Can you burn a CDR on a DVD-RW Drive? Most of the brand name CDRs I find are CMC, an average quality. You can use CDSpeed to find out the ID of your CDRs. Also, I find these are pretty good when burned at 20X or slower.
