| Can a R+ DVD be appended? Hi Group, Something I read in Sonics "Backup My PC" made me wonder if a DVD R+ media could have some unrecorded space on which the program could record more file info. It did say that the last disk in a backup set was filled and could'nt be extended. Does this mean R/W only? Thans in advance, Larry Costa Colorado USA |

| Re: Can a R+ DVD be appended? You mean +R, yes they can if you start a multisession burn and then leave the disk open. R/W is read/write not sure what context they used that in, but +RW or -RW stand for rewritable which works better for what you want to do since it can actually erase instead of adding a new session and wasting space. We reccomend that all -R and +R (Write once only discs) are only written once, when you have your info burn it, close it and then use another disc. If your DVD RW drive supports it (think most if not all do) use standard CD-R which are cheap and do HD-Burnf ormat which allows 2 layers and holld 1.4 GB. |
