Re: burned DVD does not work on some players

Is the burned DVD -R or +R are you setting the booktype on a +R disk. Some DVD players will read +R and -R disks as well as DVD-ROM disks. Not all burned DVDs work in all players. Check the hardware forum on your burner as well to see what media seems to work best. More info is needed on the DVD player, type of media, and burner as well.

Re: burned DVD does not work on some players

Its a JVC DR-MV1S. I am buring to a DVD+R. I am buring a video from a Mini DV player. I have also made a copy on a computer using a DVD-R. Still does not play on a couple DVD players. Yet it does play on others.

Still need info on your burner, computer and media.

What program are you using to encode the video?

Programs like Nero CD/DVD speed will tell you how well the media burned on your particular setup. If you have a Lite-On Burner K-Probe works well too.

Are you encoding the video to standard DVD format or just playing .mpg files. Some Players will play DIVx as well.
