burn a continuous mix with multiple tracks from one large mp3 file?

Does anyone know how to burn an audio CD that is a continuous mix but still be able to go from track to track? many techno or dance albums have this format, and I downloaded them this way (one big mp3 file) but I'd like to get the separate tracks on the CD - does not necessarily have to a smooth transition from track to track as I've read that is difficult to do...The only way I know how to do it is to break the large mp3 into several smaller ones with a program like soundforge but there's got to be another way? I'm on the Windows XP operating system...
