Most software install files in Windows directories as well. If that is the case, you can not simply back it up onto a CD-R (you will have to know all files and its entries in the registry)

Some programs do not install any files in Windows directory or write in the registry. If this is the case, you can easily back the whole program up, with all settings files, onto CD-R.

Actually I solved the problem. I must have some corrupt files in Nero (5.5 by the way). I tried again w/ EZ CD Creator and was able to do it. Thanks for your help though, I really appreciate that you responded!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps reinstall Nero (latest version) when you have removed any trace of Roxio software...

Read this forum...

You'll see that most problems occur with EZCD installed (mostly due to DirectCD).

Well, unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to use Nero (some files are corrupt). I'm able to use EZ now with no problem. So again, I am quite serious when I ask what the differences are, or what makes Nero better?

nero is just a better piece of software all round.

betting interface, better read engine, better support and more updates.

nero is just better full stop......they both do the same thing, (well now they do, before nero did 10 times more things than EZCD)

for eg: VCD, mp3 to CDAdio, almost anything.
