Beating a dead horse...

I have a cdrom drive whose spindle motor is messed up... the drive works fine as long as i help it spin up (and the drive keeps spinning), but it cannot spin up on its own. So im curious, does anyone know of any software that can keep it spinning (indefinitly)? It does not allow spindown time to be changed so software that uses some other method will be needed..

the bios says 'DELTA OPC-K101/ST1 F/W by OPID'
..i have no idea where the cover or faceplate are to give any more info

>get a new drive

its mostly a curiosity to see how long it would last like that.
