Basic questions...

Hi, all. I have a few vob, ifo and so on files that are on my hard disk and comprise one movie with 4 chapters. I've done lots of Google searches and been to DVDguides.com and so on to try and make sense out of what I'm supposed to do to get them on a DVD to play on a DVD player. But it's just too confusing at this point. So I guess I could use some specific directions such as what software I need and what process to go through...do they have to be authored or are they already and so on?
(I'm using Windows 2000 Pro and Easy CD Creator 5 or 6...can't remember which at the moment and I'm not near the computer.)
Thanks much.

Re: Basic questions...

i would reccomend using nero 6, just select the dvd video files profile, and put all the files in the video_ts folder, then burn. but you may need to use different media types as not all media is compatible with all dvd players.

Re: Basic questions...

The above method wouldnt be any good if the DVD is protected. You may need to re-rip the dvd with dvd decrypter to descramble the css codes. You may need to use AnyDVD if you cant get hold of DVD decrypter.

Re: Basic questions...

Thanks, guys. I will probably email you. I am hesitant to switch to Nero because I don't like InCD. I like the ability to packet write to CD-R's as I need to. I also have some CD-RW's that would have to be backed up and re-wrote to by Nero.
As I understand, I can't have Nero and Roxio on the same computer. Also, I didn't rip the files, so I have to assume that they have been properly done. But I don't know for sure.
