You must keep your reading speed low to avoid errors to occur in the copy protection. Try reading at 2x or 4x speed and see what happens then!

dont know your optical drives
but with the most drives these days it doesnt matter so much anymore on wich speed you read or write.
Its just SD 2.8 you shouldnt have any problems with it,did you already try the bypass efm error option?

You will need to remake the image file, as if you have burned with 2x it should work. If remaking the image and burning that fails, then do what Maesltrom suggested, try ticking the 'bypass EFM error' on the burn screen.

Hope that helps. As a double check, is the source disc (original) giving the same error when installing? If so that could be faulty.

Forgive me, but this is a common error with downloaded warez images but good luck anyway. Re-read the original and make sure you install from the originals, too, as ChrisP discovered that if the originals won't install then you're up a well known creek.

The error could be caused by a damaged surface. Make sure there isn't a deep scratch on the surface or something like that. Try scandisc the cd with nero cd-speed and see wether there are errors on it or not. Read errors in the beginning don't matter as since they are part of the SD protection.
