I have gone through all of the registry and removed all registry files to do with alcohol and I have looked in windows/system32 but I would not know what to look for I tried looking for anything to do with alcohol drivers al.* .sys
and as far as I can see all traces of alcohol are no longer on my system. I tried to install alcohol 120 trial version 1_9_2_1705.exe but got the ever popular Error 25002. so I did a file search (including looking in hidden files and system files ) for anything to do with alcohol. Apart from url links for help with this problem all I have is the download for unpacking the software a file containing mdf and mds files and windows prefetch file for the trial version which of course I cant delete because it is locked. I have rebooted the system but I still cant reinstall the software...I did install a virtual drive from Farstone but as far as I know I uninstalled and removed all traces of it.

Then please start Regedit then go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services here you should fínd the Keys for the Alcohol Driver in the current Version 1.9.2.1705 a347bus and a347scsi,



You also need to delete these Keys and remove the corresponding files from Windows\System32\Drivers folder, reboot your Computer and reinstall it should now install without any problems.

I did as u suggested and managed to install Alcohol but when I clicked on desktop icon I got this: Loading Alcohol device drivers failed! Emulation options and native interface of Alcohol 120% will not be available.

I have no CD/DVD Emulation drive F so I cant mount any of the mdf/mds image files.

those registry entries are not in my registry, what now?
and no... I didnt rename them in expert installation
