Hi, I know this was asked before and i searched this forum and the web:
and i found guides that convert vcd files to dvd, the thing is that i only have the .mpg or .mpeg file.
What i want to do is to encode the .mpg files to mpeg2(DVD) and then Author it, and burn it. It sound simple but for a newbie like me it is Not.

I am wondering if you could point me in the right direction and put some links to guides the teach you how to do this. because i found this this-guide
But i only have the .mpg files,
I have this softwares:
CCE , TMPGEnc Plus, Virtual Dub , Nero 6 , DVD Lab , DVD Maestro , DVD Shrink , DVD Decrypter, Clone DVD 2,
So if the guides uses any of those programs great.

Please, i know this was asked before, and i am sure this is maybe a dumb question, but there is no proper information about this,:

I know maybe it is a dumb stupid question the one i am asking, but i did STFW and the forums, google prints result that are shit. And i can`t find this info anywhere, it is all about avi to dvd divx to dvd, vcd to dvd svcd to dvd and there is no Fu"·% mpg to DVD,
I know that there are/will be lots of newbies out there with the same question i am having right now.
So I Would really appreciate any help, i am not asking for a "do it all for me" solution, i am asking for some direction of what guide to read, and where?? because i can`t find any.

Did you ever consider not re-encoding your files? It is possible to make a DVD without doing it. I did that some time ago with “TMPGEnc DVD Author”. Now that you already have the files on your harddisk, it’s really just to load them in, create a menu and burn them. You might get this warning: "The video GOP is too long". I did, but I just ignored it and the DVD’s works very well.

AVS video converter 3.1 will convert your video mpg 1 files to mpg2 or to dvd compliant mpg.
