You can tell WinACE to make files not larger than a certain size and then start a new one. Just look into the options it offers.
It will then create files .ace, .c00, .c01, .c02, .c03 etc

I don't know what warez groups do. Maybe they use another program for compression.

Warezgroups use Winrar mostly...

But who cares what warez groups do, what they do is illegal and thus not allowed on this forum!

I've always wondered this Magnet - although not all warez groups rename them .001 - some use .rar, .r00 etc.

Am I allowed to post that btw? It's not telliong anyone where to get warez or anything so I guess I'm safe.

The scene rules says that
Quote:
"All RAR's will be listed as ".001 -> .0xx" as opposed to ".RAR ->
.RXX", for the directory listing's sake. RAR is the official standard."
These rules are from 1998, so maybe they've been superseded by new rules, but RAR is still the standard...

Of course there are rules in warez-country!
Here is The DivX Releasing Standards 2002, the rules that should be obided for best compability and quality.
Of course not everybody follows them...

Download WinRAR and install it.

Rename the first file .001 to .rar, then the second file (.002) to .r00, then the third file (.003) to r01 and on....
Then open the first file (.rar) and voila unzip the shit
